1/72 Scale Fokker EIII by Zio Prudenziati
This tiny Eindekker is one of several versions by Zio
Prudenziati. I’ve built several of Zio’s airplanes with very good results. Usually I enlarge the images to 1/48 or more
but this one was built in it’s original 1/72
scale. All the parts fit together nicely. I found a few original photographs on the net
to help in assembling the undercarriage and for the rigging. The rigging is mercerized cotton with a nice
fuzz free finish. The model was
completed in about a week’s worth of spare time and was assembled entirely with
“Tacky” brand white glue. The cut edges
and the visible parts of the inside fuselage were touched up with flat model
enamel.
This model and many
others are available from Dave Barnett at http://www.teuton.org/~dbarnett/. You can see more of Zio’s
magnificent models at his web site, http://digilander.libero.it/zioprudenzio/fok-air.html.
